Das bedeutet, dass ein User seine EA-Version auf mehreren Maschine installieren darf, zB auf einem Rechner zu Hause und in der Firma, von denen aber nur eine Instanz gleichzeitig verwendet wird. Die Desktop und Professional Version von EA stehen nur mit der Basic-Lizenz zur Verfügung. Floating-Lizenz Floating-Lizenzen werden in Unternehmen eingesetzt, die darüber informiert sein möchten, wie ihre Mitarbeiter Enterprise Architect verwenden. Dieses Service ist gratis und wird über den Sparx Enterprise Key Store bereitgestellt. Registrierte User können die benötigte Software aus dem Members-Bereich herunterladen. Der Key Store wird im Netzwerk installiert und stellt die Lizenz-Schlüssel für die Anwender zum Checkout bereit. Schlüssel können vom Administrator verwaltet und, z.B. mit einem Zeitlimit versehen, On- oder Off-Site verwendet werden. So wie mit der Basic-Lizenz bleibt die gleichzeitig verwendbare Anzahl der Schlüssel limitiert, sodass die Anzahl der Benutzer und die Anzahl der gekauften Lizenzen gleichläufig bleibt. Difference between Basic- and Floating-Licences?Basic-Licence Edition The Basic License is based on named user limitation, you may use your license on several Pc's (like home office, Laptop, Company..) but not at the same time, or deifferent users. Desktop und Professional Edition are only as Basic-Licence available. Floating-Licence Edition Floating licenses are suitable for companies who wish to automate the management of EA registration keys, providing the facility to administer the licenses via the Sparx Enterprise Key Store You can use EA on your Laptop without a connection to the Licence Server. This is a free service with the purchase of floating licenses. The Sparx Systems Key Store application is used to administer floating license keys. The Key Store application allows the key administrator to defined two different modes of operation: one mode is with an auto check-in and check-out facility. The other mode of operation allows the administrator to define a time limit for each floating license key; this time limit should be set according to the user's needs. After this pre-set time limit has passed, the key will expire and automatically be returned to the Key Store, making the key available for other users. Each time a user utilizes EA and has access to the network file location containing the key store file; the time limit on the key is extended to the original time defined by the key administrator.
