Kaspersky Security/Anti-Virus Information: how to select Licenses

Kaspersky Anti-Virus is the world's first configurable anti-virus and security solution offered to small and medium-size businesses.

Choosing this product you get a comprehensive anti-virus network defence with a powerful, embedded, centralized system for virus defence management.

Centralised management and installation tools ensure ease of use.

The unique set of programs included in the package supports a wide range of platforms and applications.

It protects workstations, file servers, and controls data traffic in e-mail systems. The ability to choose necessary components enables the creation of a protection system, which will ideally meet company requirements.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus provides three-tier protection via:

  • Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Workstations
    (compatible with Windows 95/98/ME, Windows 2000/XP/NT, and Linux).
    The maximum quantity of licenses, which can be ordered within Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Workstations limits, is 250
  • Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers
    (compatible with Windows XP/2000/NT Server, Novell NetWare, Linux, xBSD, Solaris).
    The maximum quantity of licenses, which can be ordered within Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers limits, is 10
  • Kaspersky Anti-Virus for e-mail Gateways (MS Exchange Server 5.5/2000, Lotus Notes, Sendmail, Qmail, Postfix, Exim).
    The maximum quantity of licenses, which can be ordered within Kaspersky Anti-Virus for e-mail Gateways limits, is 500
In accordance with the principle of a configurable solution you can choose protection for any quantity of any network nodes - workstations, file or mail servers - running on any of the mentioned platforms.

Protection for each network node is based on its individual conditions:

  • Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Workstations
    licensing per the number of workstations to install software on (separately for each mentioned operating system). Minimal quantity of licenses which can purchased online (via Internet store) - 2, maximum - 250. Minimal quantity of licenses which can purchased offline (via distributors) - 1, maximum - 250
  • Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers
    licensing per the number of file servers to install software on (separately for each mentioned operating system) Minimal quantity of licenses which can purchased online (via Internet store) - 1, maximum - 10. Minimal quantity of licenses which can purchased offline (via distributors) - 1, maximum - 10
  • Kaspersky Anti-Virus for e-mail Gateways
    depending on the particular platform protection is provided for mailboxes ( for MS Exchange and Lotus Notes) and unique mail addresses (Sendmail, Qmail, Postfix, Exim)
Minimal quantity of licenses which can purchased online (via Internet store) - 10, maximum - 500. Minimal quantity of licenses which can purchased offline (via distributors) - 1, maximum - 500.
For example, with one order you can purchase anti-virus protection for 50 Windows workstations, 3 Novell Servers and 50 mailboxes running on Exchange.
