String Functions

• AGS Split-String
  This function will return a sub string from a delimetered input string. Simply pass the input string, the delimeter, the output string and index to return
• AGS Format-Date
  This function will format a Date value using string formatting syntax. This is more robust than TSQL convert
• AGS Format-Number
  This will format a number using string formatting syntax

• AGS Compress
  This will compress a value and return a varbinary value. If the length of the item compress is smaller than the compressed varbinary then the orginal value is returned in a varbinary format
• AGS De-Compress
  This will decompress a varbinary value previously compressed with AGS_Compress and return a sql_variant with a subtype of the orginal value
